Diana Markosian is a contemporary artist working between Paris and New York City whose practice spans photography, filmmaking, and installation. Her work is recognized for its deeply personal approach to storytelling, blending documentary realism with constructed narrative to explore themes of memory, identity, migration, and belonging.
Her work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the International Center of Photography, the National Portrait Gallery, Foam Amsterdam, and the Museum of Modern Art. In 2025, she received the Madame Figaro Prize at the Rencontres d’Arles for her exhibition Father.
Markosian is the author of three monographs, recognized as books of the year by the Museum of Modern Art, Time Magazine, and Le Monde. She is currently working on her first feature film, alongside a book with Louis Vuitton, scheduled for publication in 2026/27. Markosian holds a master’s degree from Columbia University in New York.
